Glazing, Fittings & Construction

Note: Our windows are supplied as frames only. Glazing and fitting is not included. We can recommend suppliers for you at order stage.

Glazing

  • Our Radial TB51 thermally broken system uses a 28mm thickness DGU.
  • Most types of glazing options can be used (e.g. clear and tinted, float, toughened or laminated glass or plastics and infill panels etc).
  • The glazing is positioned with setting blocks and spacers and then sealed in position using black pre-shim glazing tape to outside and EPDM rubber glazing wedge to the inside.
  • All double glazed units are faced drained and fitted with black drainage covers.

Fittings

  • We use proprietary architectural window fittings that have been designed and tested for strength, durability and aesthetics.
  • Fittings are manufactured principally from stainless steel and aluminium, with a number of special features to improve both security and performance.
  • Standard fittings have a natural anodised finish, although colour matching is available as an optional extra.

Construction

  • All our aluminium window frames are accurately formed, fabricated and machined to exacting tolerances.
  • Radius cornered windows may be made to suit a minimum aperture radii of 109mm (fixed) or 150mm (opening).
  • The main joints on shaped windows are TIG welded and dressed flush for strength by our coded TIG welders. This provides high quality joints that are sustainable in all weather conditions and maintain a good appearance that lasts.
  • All our window fittings are secured using stainless steel screws.
